Trader Joe’s is formally moving into Hermosa Beach

Trader Joe’s will replace Ralphs in Hermosa Beach.

Trader Joe’s is moving into Hermosa Beach at Pacific Coastline Highway and Aeronautics Boulevard with strategies to open prior to summertime, according to building owner Roger Bacon.

Bacon said he signed the lease arrangement to officially bring in the popular grocery store to change Ralphs, which left in October. Ralphs is on the lease through Dec. 31. Bacon had discussed in August that Trader Joe’s would be relocating, however the company did not verify the report.

Bacon will begin construction in January for Trader Joe’s and prepares to change the roof. He expects Trader Joe’s to be open by late spring.

“I’m going to get it in as quickly as I can, ideally by May or June,” Bacon stated. “I’m extremely pleased with this (and) they love the location.”.

Trader Joe’s Public Relations Director Alison Mochizuki might not be reached for comment prior to push time.

The closest Trader Joe’s is on Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Manhattan Beach. There is also one in Torrance on Hawthorne Boulevard, another in Manhattan Beach on Rosecrans Opportunity, a Redondo Beach area on Elena Avenue and a second shop in Torrance on Pacific Coast Highway.

“I have actually constantly desired to have a Trader Joe’s due to the fact that they’re distinct and their food is so edible, good and tasty,” Bacon said. “They have the nicest group of people.”.
